A Thanksgiving Reflection

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends, colleagues and followers!

If turkeys thought, they’d run away a week before Thanksgiving Day. But turkeys can’t anticipate, and so there’s turkey on my plate!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends, colleagues, and followers!

This cherished tradition began 400 years ago, inspired by an epic tale where courage, generosity, and gratitude took center stage. The first Thanksgiving in 1621 was a three-day feast shared by the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag people, celebrating their harvest and unity.

If Turkeys could think?!…

Did you know wild turkeys could run at speeds of 25 mph and fly at 55 mph? Unfortunately, domesticated turkeys have traded speed for size, losing their agility due to selective breeding. Captivity turned a once swift bird into a slower, dinner-worthy centerpiece.

Message from the Wild Turkey: “My feathers are easily ruffled. Every now and then, I get broody. I love to gobble up attention and proudly strut my stuff. Thanksgiving sounds great… What’s for dinner?”

On this day, let’s honor the values of gratitude, resilience, and togetherness.
Happy Thanksgiving!
